Jumble

Jumble is an online second-hand market service integrated with the social networking service (SNS) Facebook. The user can transact with friends as well as friends of friends. Jumble uses social connections to bring more trust to the buying and selling process.


Trust and reliability are most important in any sale – but particularly in a second-hand sale. In comparison to offline transactions for second-hand goods, cheating occurs more frequently in online second-hand deals where information about sellers and buyers is lacking. Jumble aims to resolve the reliability issue for the online second-hand market. 

Jumble provides information about the relationships between buyers and sellers – such as mutual Facebook friends. If the buyer and seller share a lot of friends, there will be a greater inclination for the buyer to trust the seller. Mutual friends can act as guarantors. 

By promoting reliability, Jumble could attract more people to the second-hand market and revitalise it. There are many potential positive side effects – among them greater access to goods, increased earnings capacity, and the promotion of reuse and recycling. Will you join Jumble?
